house of the lady

as a 22 year old i had an opportunity to move out all on my own in the big grown up world – and i have never looked back since.

safe to say people had plenty to say about it – what a waste of money, renting sucks, stay at home as long as you can, but at the end of the day i did it for me.

having a space that is your own (even if you don’t legally own it) is quite possibly the most wonderful feeling in the world, you gain a sense of pride that you never had when you were living at home to the point where you actually prefer staying at home instead of avoiding home like the plague (or maybe that’s just me).

3 years on and i have made my humble flat a home, with the help of all the tricks of the trade i have learnt along the way through my career in real estate.

living on your own certainly isn’t for everyone, but even if its just your room – having a place that you love and feel relaxed in is the foundation for the direction of every other aspect in life.

“Decorate your home. It gives the illusion that your life is more interesting than it really is.” – Charles M. Schulz
