it’s hard to believe it’s already that time of year! following an unseasonably wet spring and so far the most bi polar summer i think i have ever experienced. needless to say the adelaide property market didn’t get the luxury of that spring surge of property coming onto the market that we have become so accustomed to.
simple explanation as to why is that the weather not getting warmer simply prevented people from getting into their gardens & doing those odd jobs around the house ready to get it on the market for spring. meaning we naturally had less property available but the same amount of buyers around and keen to purchase (especially prior to christmas) which can also have a positive effect on prices.
what this also means is that there is no rest for the wicked, with property launching right up until early next week to ensure they jump the gun for next year – great news if you’re looking to buy & food for thought if you’ve been umming & aahing about whether or not to sell.
it’s quite peculiar that no matter who you talk to, & in a variety of industries everyone is feeling busier than usual and more than ready for a quick break over christmas & new years. despite the weathers mood swings and some unpredictable conditions, which we are not fans of here in adelaide, the property market has not disappointed and is hopefully giving us a taste of what 2017 has to offer.
