#girlboss

it’s no secret that i am all about getting around a female who is getting shit done (had to be said). which is why i thought i’d take the time to share a bit more about some of the lady’s of adelaide who truly are the definition of #girlboss.

who better to kick things off than a girl who really means business, no i mean seriously she means business – abbey Cooke.

having completed a bachelor of business majoring in marketing and HR and also an executive certificate in event management, abbey is armed and ready to launch she means business events.

what i love the most about abbey is her undeniable drive and passion and she’s no stranger to taking a risk. coming from a global financial role, she recognised her true love for events and the opportunity to provide her clients something they had yet to experience. after all, the saying goes “complacency kills”, but not for abbey.

vision is a funny thing because you, personally, can see what you want to achieve but there is so much that happens in between before you can arrive there.

“turning your ideas into a reality is like being on a roller coaster in the dark..you feel alone, scared, there are ups and downs you haven’t got a clue what’s coming next, but all the while you feel exhilarated..you’re smiling, even though on the inside you’re quietly thinking ‘what the hell am i doing?” – abbey cooke

but it’s focus that makes a vision a reality, something abbey has plenty of! it’s a scary thing for anyone, let alone a female to leave their job, something that they know like the back of their hand and embark on something as challenging as starting your own business.

the event industry is one which is rapidly growing with the rise of social media in business, something that abbey has recognised and is prepared for. an event, whether for an individual or an organisation, no matter how big or how small, has a personality that needs to be conveyed down to the finest of details and thats how it’s separated from the rest, because of the way it made someone feel. i think this is what makes abbey special, her love of bringing people together and creating memories because after all, what’s an event without memories.

with abbey’s impressive skill set and undeniable drive i have no doubt that adelaide will not know what has hit it! for all of your private events, corporate events, brand support and over all event management abbey is your girl. she means business officially launches may 4 and i cannot wait to see what the future holds for this incredible #girlboss
